Welcome to Visa Aid
Welcome to visa-aid.co.uk. Firstly, let me tell you about us. I am an Englishman with a Thai wife & we live in the north of England. We have first hand experience about the trials & tribulations of obtaining a UK visa for a Thai national.
We have been there, seen it, done it and we did it first time!
There are many websites, forums, blogs etc offering endless "advice" about how best to obtain a UK visa. Much of it is nonsense & hearsay & it can be misleading & very confusing.
Some people even make false promises about "guaranteeing" a visa while the truth is that NO-ONE can do that, but what we will do is make sure that your application is as good as it can be giving your loved one her best chance of success.
Before we made our application, I had read on the internet that the British Embassy in Bangkok has a 96% knock back rate for visa applications from Thai nationals. This is an astonishing percentage & I thought that this can only be down to one thing, lack of preparation & having been through the procedure ourselves, it is very easy to see why people who try to do it "on there own" can very easily make a weak application.
'No nonsense, no lies, no guesswork, no bull, just all the information that you must have'
The British Embassy in Bangkok has much useful information about various visas & their cost but the "Supporting Documents" section appears to be all Black & White & doesn't mention the "Grey" areas & believe me, there are many! You may also find this link useful http://www.vfs-uk-th.com/index.aspxNever has our much used motto "FAIL TO PREPARE, PREPARE TO FAIL" been more appropriate than when applying for a UK visa. Get it wrong & you will fail, get it right & you have every chance of success. We will ensure that you get it right by supplying you with all the right information. No nonsense, no lies, no guesswork, no bull, just all the information that you must have. Remember, we have been in your shoes & we know exactly what is required. You will also have the invaluable assistance of our "hand on" expert in Bangkok. She is very very good & has over 7 years experience of helping people obtain a UK visa. She speaks English & she knows exactly what is required after successfully helping dozens of Thai ladies obtain a visa. She is a Thai national & will explain everything to the applicant. It will ultimately be her decision when to submit an application & she will only do so when she feels that it is as strong as it can be. There would be no point otherwise. She will submit the application in person making things easier for your the applicant. She will also prepare her for the interview so she knows exactly what to expect. My wife will always be available to offer any advice on what to expect as she has been through it herself.
It is worth remembering that no two applications are the same as personal circumstances differ. We pull no punches & we tell it exactly as it.There is no magic formula & no short cuts, it is just a question of getting ALL the correct documentation together to make a sound application. It can be stressful & frustrating at times but it has to be done.
